MySims on DS is totally back on track. After going on a sidetrack with MySims Party and MySims Racing, the latest one is an adventure, RPG-look a like of MySims and MySims Kingdom.
In MySims Agents, you are a Special Agent, a new James Bond. The story is easy to tell. The Mayor of the city (you give it a name) needs help. An international wanted thief has warned the Mayor that he will come to town to steal an ancient treasure map and, it's a crook, the treasure.
That's where your Special Agent starts, together with your assistant.
The game play is easy. Just moving around with the stylus, talking to the townspeople, making friends and... the most important part, solving the puzzles and off course the mystery.
Just like MySims you start in one part of the city, but after solving the first quest you can wander around town. Meeting interesting people, solving little puzzles and playing mini-games.
Bit by bit you, your assistant, your new friends will be able to stop the criminal.
The missions are most of the time simple, when playing a long time you will see, that some missions are a copy of earlier ones. The mini-games are nice to play, and you can play them over and over again to gain money. And … with your earned money you can buy stuff for your agent.
And, like in MySims Kingdom, you have the extractor. You can pimp the town by creating town furniture, trees etc, etc.
When you get blue-prints, you, with the help of one of your new friends, can alter the look of the town.
Pro
- It's a real MySims again.
- Nice mini-games.
- Suitable for the young DS player.
- Friendly looking fistfights, pursuits.
Cons
- A lot of text when parts of the missions are explained.
