To run a website properly, you have got to set up some basic rules. We also have some basic rules. There aren't that many. And we're not so hard on you either. We'd appreciate it if you took the time to read these, so you know what you can and cannot do on our MySimsNetwork!
- Behavior
- On all SNW websites, we expect people to treat each other with respect. Be nice to each other, If you cannot put yourself to do this, please leave.
- Respect our team members. They work here voluntarily, to bring you the best quality news, information, articles, images, downloads and goodies.
- Do not try to impersonate as a team member or an EA employee. Even if some of our members won't be able to tell the difference, we will.
- Do not demand anything from our team members. We're not your slaves. We usually don't do requests. But you are free to contact us on our forums to ask for something if you really need help!
- Type normal with punctuation. We do not appreciate extreme chat slang, l33t speek, LOL speak or any form of 'language' that not all of us can understand without reading it five times. Some abbreviations are fine, but don't overdo it.
- Do not overuse BBcode. BBcode is only useful when you are trying to highlight a bit of your text, not the entire paragraph.
- Sharing Accounts
- We share the forums with SimsNetwork. But you cannot use your MySimsNetwork login on SimsNetwork. If you want to login on the website or forums there, please create a separate account on SimsNetwork.
- If you registered on MySimsNetwork, you do not need to register on MySimsNetwerk seperately. These websites share accounts, so you can login on both websites with just one account.
- Legal Activities
- We do not hand out serial numbers or cracks for your games. We pay for our games. And if you are a fan, so should you.
- We are not Electronic Arts. We are a fansite and we're just here to brighten up the (My)Sims community! If you're having trouble with your game, it's best if you contact EA.
- Do not hotlink our images and files. It's called stealing bandwidth.
- Website Layout and Images
- The entire website and its layout (including images) is courtesy of Miss Design and is not to be copied or modified for anything other than this website.
- News, Articles, Previews and Reviews
- Do not blatantly copy our news to your own website or blog without giving us proper credit in the same message! It's rude and disrespectful. The least you can do is give credit where credit is due.
- Do not copy our articles/reviews/previews to your website or blog. We spend hours writing these long pieces and we do not appreciate it if you copy these onto your website. Quoting is fine, but you'd have to credit.
- Downloads
- Don't redistribute our downloads on another website. We didn't upload them so you can re-upload them on another website. Create your own if you want to upload something. Our items are for personal use, that means, in your game, not on the Internet.
- Do not claim our downloads as your own.
- Do not modify and redistribute our downloads on another website.
- Goodies
- Our goodies are for your personal use. This means you can use them on your PC, and some of the online goodies can be used on forums and messenger programs. Do not upload them on another website or blog for no good reason.
- Do not claim our goodies as your own.
- Uploading
- Do not upload racist or discriminating images.
- Do not upload adult images.
- Do not upload anything that is not yours.
- Our team members reserve the right to remove any image you upload if you violate these terms.
